Toyomansi

Nationwide

Toyomansi: a small white saucer of dark, opaque brown-black soy sauce with calamansi juice and floating red chilli rings, beside whole calamansi and one halved to show its orange flesh.

About this component

The everyday Filipino table dip — soy sauce sharpened with fragrant calamansi and a hit of chile. One of the sawsawan, the family of dipping sauces mixed to taste at nearly every Filipino meal.
