The short version

This site collects nothing about you. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no cookies set by this site, no forms to submit and no mailing list. Nothing you do here is recorded by us.

What is not here

Most privacy policies describe data collection. This one mostly describes its absence, because listing things that do not exist is the only honest way to describe a site that does not do them.

• No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for and no way to log in.
• No analytics. No analytics service is installed. Page views are not counted.
• No cookies from this site. Nothing is stored in your browser to identify or track you.
• No advertising and no ad networks. No third party is given space here.
• No newsletter or mailing list. There is no signup and no list.
• No forms. Nothing on this site accepts a submission.
• No payments. Nothing is sold here.
• No database of visitors, and no profiling.

Hosting and server records

This site is not yet published. It runs locally during development and has no public hosting, so there is currently no host, no CDN and no server log about you in existence.

When it is published, the host will almost certainly keep ordinary technical records — requests, timestamps, IP addresses — as essentially all web servers do. That is a real form of data handling and this page will name the host and describe it before the site goes live, rather than after.

Links to other sites

When the book is published, this site will link to its retail listing. Following a link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices, which are that service’s and not ours. No such link exists yet.

Children

The site is a cookbook companion with no accounts and no data collection, so it collects nothing from anyone of any age.

If this changes

Features that would involve real data — a contact route, a newsletter, saved recipes, analytics — are possible later. If any is added, this page will be updated to describe it before or at the same time as the feature ships, and the review date at the top will change.
